What a crazy night! And day, too, I guess. I got up early and fried up some bacon and eggs for our post-yule present exchange/pot luck brunch. It was really sweet, actually. Mary made these little action figures of each of us (mine has feathers in her hair and my silly big belt buckle!) and of course Casey's hats were frickin cool, and everyone seemed to like my idea bulbs, too. :) Then I hung around the room and put together an entry for another illustration contest from 05, and updated my deviant art gallery with everything from first semester. Something like 12 new pieces. Go check it out: http://damalia.deviantart.com/
We had planned to do like a lingere party tonight in Kelly's room, but we decided that that would be silly, plus Kate went home for a while. Us sitting around in underware getting wasted. So we resolved to go out clubbing instead, which was actually quite enjoyable--and I still got to wear the garter belt. Club Hell is actually pretty nice, not too hot and no smoking, and there's even couches and a coat check, and it was girl's night so we got in free. Unfortunately there were way more skeezy guys and slutty girls than I ever thought....and I spent a 3 hour period dancing mostly with my friends and scaring off guys who wanted to dance with Kelly. It was fun.
You know what pisses me off? Girls who make out with other girls and do really disgusting dance moves on each other just to get attention. Especially if they're 180 pounds and wearing a size 2 jean skirt. EEeeeewwwww. And, there's this new dance move (dance being used in the loosest manner possible) now that girls do on guys where they bend completely over and grind their ass into the guys crotch. It just looks stupid, and gross. Also, apparently lap dances are a public spectacle. And I learned that I still detest rap lyrics. I don't like to be referred to as "bitch, ho," or "slut." And I'd rather not have to listen to vulgar language and offensive statements about women while I'm trying to have a good time......no matter how good it is to dance to. I have more respect for women than that......but apparently I am a rare breed in that sentiment.
Desite the last paragraph, I did have a good time. We'll be going on a more regular basis, I think. And I need to go shopping-I'm not wearing garters again, too uncomfortable after 3 hours.
